Come to montstock 2010 August 6, 7, 8, 2010

UPDATED 2/1/09 NOTE this is for the summer of 2010. The Facebook page for this event required a date but wouldn't allow dates more than 12 months out. Have verbal approval for Amphitheater access for Saturday, August 7th and August 14th (Alternate Date), 2010, with access to restrooms. If rain we can use cafeteria in old building or newer George Innis cafeteria as we did in 2006. As with Max Yasgur's farm, and our luck in 2006, rain will indeed part of the planning. Access to rest of school for tours is being discussed but not finalized. Also creating Event page on Facebook. Events will be similar to the 2006 schedule: Group Photo in Amphitheater, Commonwealth Club venue Saturday evening, Tierney's if we can get both floors and not have safety issues (crowding), Edgemont Park on Sunday with events and activities. Other activities to include dinner for the volunteers, an all group gathering at Eagle Rock Reservation's 911 Memorial. Also a tour of the Woodman Field House renovation.

Will work with Marriott for group discounts. Will have list of recommended hotels. Currently please plan on:

  • August 6, 2010 Friday, Noon, 911 Memorial Eagle-Rock Reservation
  • August 6, 2010 Friday, 6PM-midnight, Tierney's Pub, Upstairs for check-in
  • August 7, 2010 Saturday, 11AM-5PM, Montclair High School Amphitheater
  • August 7, 2010 Saturday, 3PM, Group Photo, Amphitheater
  • August 7, 2010 Saturday, 7PM, Commonwealth Club Social Get-together, Open bar, Light food ($20)
  • August 8, 2010 Sunday, Noon-6PM, Edgemont Park

  • August 8, 2010 Sunday, 8PM, Pals Cabin, 265 Prospect Avenue, Thank You Dinner for the Volunteers

Costs:
All events are open, no reservations, pay at the door. T-Shirts will be for sale, as supplies lasts.

Attire: All events casual, but for Commonwealth Club perhaps more dressy.
